As I am about to embark my 5 month trip about the world I would like to keep a documentation of my findings. I cannot wait for this adventure and the lessons to be learned on this trip.
I will be traveling with a friend/ co-worker Amanda. I plan on starting my trip in Iceland. From there I head to Belgium, England, Germany, Switzerland, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, India, Thailand, Bali, and perhaps other countries. My initials plans were to move to Israel for 6 months to a year after I finished my tour/ work in the states.
To be honest I never really thought this day would come. I traveled to Chile last winter and I went by myself for the first week. This was my real first exposure to so many people traveling by themselves. But also how many people just backpack around for fun. Many were my age. Some had quit their jobs and decided to travel. Others were studying aboard and the other had just left to come work in these countries. The idea of traveling for a long period of time became more of a reality. I thought if they can just get up and go, why can't I. Besides I have always wanted to see the world, this is the perfect time. I am still young, not married, no kids, and willing to leave now.
I am not really nervous instead more anxious to leave and start this chapter in my life. I have met so many incredible people in my previous travels, I cannot image it begin any less than that now. My journey begins March 2nd.
